Deltix was established in 2004, and has since undertaken over 70 transport consultancy projects for clients in the public, private and community sectors in Scotland, England and Wales. We put together bespoke consultancy teams on a job-by-job basis, as required to meet individual client needs – under the direction of David Spaven, the Principal of Deltix.

About David Spaven

David has worked in consultancy in the rail and intermodal sectors since 1995, following an 18-year management career with British Rail. He has an unrivalled breadth of transport experience – as a multi-modal freight and passenger consultant, a rail marketing manager, a sustainable transport campaigner, a rail passenger watchdog member, and now as a specialist railway author.

Deltix delivers high-quality analysis and practical transport solutions for small to medium scale projects – with a particular emphasis on company-specific and location-specific circumstances, identifying key qualitative as well as quantitative issues to meet client needs. We have extensive experience of high-quality editing and report-writing, and the production of attractive and accessible PowerPoint presentations.

David Spaven has made hundreds of radio and TV appearances, and has had articles published over many years in the mainstream press and specialist journals such as Modern Railways and Rail Professional.
